Pikachu has new look for this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

This Thanksgiving marks the 15th anniversary of Pikachu appearing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and today The Pokemon Company announced a brand-new version of the balloon will be floating down the streets for New York City .

Pikachu will be marched in the parade with a new holiday look and Snowman Pikachu. You can have a look at the full poster sent over to us below. Note the scarf and the cute little fella (Pika-snow-chu?) he is holding.

The parade starts at 77th Street and Central Park West, and heads south along Central Park to Columbus Circle. From there it goes east to Central Park South before turning right at 7th Avenue and onward to Times Square.

2014 marks the 88th year for the annual parade, and it takes place on Thursday, November 27. NBC will broadcast it.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire will launch a few days prior to the parade on 3DS November 21.
