Star Trek: The Video Game talent video is full familiar faces
Star Trek: The Video Game is out next week, and today, Paramount Pictures released a video featuring film actors Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban and Anton Yelchin which lent their voices to the game. Check it out below. Star Trek: The Video Game is out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 across North America from April 23 and across Europe on April 26.

Star Trek trailer reunites Shatner with the Gorn
William Shatner, the original face of James T Kirk, returns to facedown an old foe in this new trailer for Digital Extremes’ Star Trek, a tie in to the rebooted film series. This is pretty much the best thing. Star Trek is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 23 in the US and April 26 in Europe.

Star Trek: The Video Game video delves into the mythos and mystery of the Gorn
Star Trek: The Video Game has a new trailer focusing on the Gorn, which delves into the mythos and “the mystery” of this lizard man. In the game, he is much different that the Gorn James Tiberius Kirk faced off with in the “Arena” episode of the original Star Trek series. Plus, the creature is not wearing what resembles a cocktail dress. Matter of fact, it’s some aren’t wearing anything at all. Check out the video below. Star Trek pre-orders net Elite Officer costume pack
Star Trek hasn’t got a release date yet but Namco Bandai is offering a pre-order incentive for those willing to take a gamble on the schedule. The Digital Extremes effort comes with five additional costume sets, including some which up your stealth abilities, if you slap your money down early. Expect the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title within a few months of the release of the new film, Into Darkness, in May.

Star Trek Online content designer Dan Griffis to depart Cryptic in “a few weeks”
Star Trek Online content designer Dan “Gozer” Griffis has announced he’s leaving Cryptic Studios to pursue other opportunities. Griffis responded to his departure on the game forums stating: “I will be leaving if a few weeks for a new opportunity. That’s pretty much all of it. It has nothing to do with PvP, STO, or Cryptic. It’s just time for me to do something different. I had planned on telling everyone on the forums at some point, but probably closer to when I was actually leaving (I’ll be here for a few more weeks).” The MMO’s PvP will be handed off to another developer he said. Griffis previously left Cryptic in 2010 but returned after a short while.

Star Trek teaser shows Kirk and Spock running, jumping, shooting
Namco and Digital Extremes have released concept art and a teaser video for the latest Star Trek game. The game is based on a stand-alone storyline which continues the adventures of Kirk and Spock as they work together to “stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy,” the game was shown off at E3 last year. The game allow you to and a friend to co-op as Kirk and Spock, and it’s slated for release sometime during Q1 2013, prior to the May 17 release of the film, for all major home consoles and PC. Namco to release Star Trek movie tie-in during Q1 2013
Namco will publish the tie-in game for the next Star Trek film from Paramount Pictures, which is currently in development by Digital Extremes. The game is based on a stand-alone storyline which continues the adventure of Kirk and Spock as they work together to “stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy.” It was shown for the first time at E3 last year, and is being written by God of War’s Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, writers and producers for the film. The most exciting part? You can co-op as Kirk and Spock. Get your gold and blue shirts out now. The game will be released during Q1 2013, prior to the May 17 release of the film, for all major home consoles and PC.

Star Trek gets E3 gameplay trailer
Digital Extreme showed off a new trailer for their upcoming title Star Trek during the Sony E 3 press conference. The trailer shows pre-alpha gameplay footage from the title and gives you a glimpse at its world. It also contains some great music.
Based on the JJ Abrams film, Star Trek is slated for a 2012 release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with exclusive content destined for Sony’s console. Watch the video after the break.
