Bethesda vice president Pete Hines has hinted we won’t have long to wait to hear more about the publisher’s upcoming releases.

Prey 2 fansite denies official connection to stymied project
If you had any doubts about the nature of the Alien Noire website, put them to bed. An interesting feature on Polygon talks to the fans behind the site, which hosts a petition asking Bethesda to finish the game and acts as a community hub for news and fan interaction. Prey 2 seems to have been in the works since at least 2008; it was announced in 2011 for a 2012 launch but was then delayed and has since gone silent. Bethesda has said the sequel is still in the works but there have been some troubling rumbles about its relationship to series developer Human Head. Maybe we’ll hear something about it now that next-gen silences are breaking.

Bethesda’s confirmed that Prey 2 hasn’t been cancelled contrary to previous speculation, but has said it won’t meet its planned 2012 release due to it not meeting the publisher’s “quality standards”.
