The Quiet Man gameplay snippet shows the protagonist beating up gang members

Here's a look at combat gameplay in The Quiet Man.

Information on what exactly The Quiet Man is about has been scarce since its announcement at E3 2018. That changes slightly today, thanks to Square giving us all a quick look at combat.

According to Square Enix, the third-person brawler will "seamless blend live action and gameplay." Some of this is shown in a new trailer, also posted below, but mainly in the gameplay demonstration.

The Quiet man takes place during one single night, and stars Dane, a deaf protagonist. He will fight his way through the streets to find out why a singer named Lala was kidnapped by a masked man.

Because Dane cannot hear, most of the game is inaudible. Players will need to piece together clues based on each character’s actions instead of words.

In confrontations with various gang members and other baddies, Dane can pull off various attack combos, and the game does not feature a HUD.

The Quiet Man is a short, compact gameplay experience which will last around three hours. It is digital-only title for PC and PS4, and will run you $14.99 or the regional equivalent.

A release date has not been provided.
