Those who have already purchased Tomb Raider through Steam can now pre-load the game, the service has announced. If you’ve yet to bite the bullet, you can still get both the standard and Survival Edition for 10% off. The game releases in three days and 13 hours – or March 4, however you prefer to say it.

With decent combat and super-slick visuals, Tomb Raider is almost unrecognisable as the much-loved, dated franchise Brenna grew up with – but something just feels right.

Just a little blip; Tomb Raider brand manager Karl Stewart has shared a photo of a finished retail copy of Tomb Raider for Xbox 360. It’s apparently the very first unit off the assembly line. Tomb Raider went gold last week and is expected on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 5; it has been in pre-production since at least 2008, and represents the franchise’s most drastic reboot to date.

Tomb Raider is launching March 5th and developer Crystal Dynamics has release an 11-minute walkthrough video showing Lara engaging enemies with a range of firearms, using strategy to mess up enemies and being battered left right and centre by rocks and other hazards.
