The Division's new patch will bring "significant" weapon balance changes

Ubisoft has spent quite a bit of time detailing its new expansions and upcoming gear sets, but also has plans to patch existing content. Specifically, The Division will be overhauling its weapon balancing on a scale we haven't seen since launch.

In a new State of the Game blog post, Ubisoft announced its intentions for "significant weapon balancing" in the new patch. While specifics aren't clear just yet, its stated purpose is "so players will have the option of using the weapons they like and be more effective with them". Presumably this means the patch won't nerf overpowered guns, so much as raise the capabilities of weaker ones.

Another blog post should arrive soon to describe exactly what changes will be made to The Division. The latest patch will launch on June 28 alongside The Underground expansion.
