Persona 5 will take a different approach to dungeon design

Persona 5 won't be same-old same-old when it comes to dungeon delving.

Some interesting Persona 5 snippets have escaped from the latest issue of the Persona magazine.

As translated by Siliconera, chief director Katsura Hashino said that dungeons and general level design will be very different to previous Persona game.

While he didn't elaborate on this theme as much as we'd like, he did say that every dungeon will be different and individually "enjoyable".

It sounds like we can expect a bit more variety, then, and Hashino's later comment about how the phantom thief theme makes it possible to "surprise" players certainly seems to back up this assumption.

The other major point of interest from the interview is that there will be a system similar to the Social Link mechanic which proved so popular in the past. Hashino said he hopes to take the system further this time, to foreground human relations and communication even more.

There are plenty of other details through the source link, including details on some of the cast members. Persona 5 is expected on PS4 this year.
