For Honor announced at Ubisoft E3 2015 - trailer, gameplay

For Honor is a new multiplayer melee combat sim from Ubisoft.

A new IP debuted during Ubisoft's E3 2015 conference. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, For Honor is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The publisher showed a cinematic trailer and gameplay demo with multiple armoured knights battling it out in a pretty brutal melee. It sounds like other combat troops like samurai may be featured at a later date.

The gameplay mode shown is a 4v4 multiplayer mode with dozens of AI combatants. Creative director Jason Vandenburg's description of combat made it sound pretty interesting - it sounds like Ubisoft's trying to make it somewhat realistic, with impact and recoil physics.

The gameplay shown is just a tease, Ubisoft said - but it will be playable at Ubisoft's booth from noon tomorrow. Those at home are invited to register on the game's website to get updates.

More details soon. For now, enjoy the trailer and gameplay demo.
