Tuesday, 22nd July 2014 19:29 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

The first wing of HearthStone’s single-player adventure mode Curse of Naxxramas is now available.

Called the Arachnid Quarter, the content is now free to all Hearthstone players during the Curse of Naxxramas launch event, taking place now through early September.

Access to additional wings can be purchased using in-game gold or real world currency.

After the Arachnid Quarter, the next four wings can be purchased for 700 gold per wing or $6.99 per wing. Players can also earn in-game gold to unlock the next wing.

Curse of Naxxramas bundle packages are also available which allow players to unlock any remaining wings at a discounted real-money rate.

@1 Not sure if you ignored the part where it says that you can unlock each wing for 700 gold. Quite reasonable considering you earn alot of gold just by doing the daily quests each day and not spending them on packs.

@John117 I didn’t ignore that, but if you want to instantly access the whole thing it costs a fortune, besides amount of gold you can make every day is not that much, 120 to 140ish, it’d take nothing short of a week for average players to unlock each wing.

BTW terrible launch, been playing Blizzard games for over a decade now, this launch rivals Diablo 3′s infamous launch. Still can’t access the game.

I signed in and beat the first boss with no technical issues this morning.

That said as well, of course the wings will cost $ (or gold if you can grind it up).

The game is free, they have to make money somehow.
