Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be talked about "in earnest" soon, more mash-ups planned

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be talked about "in earnest" by 4J Studios soon, according to lead producer at Microsoft Roger Carpenter.

According to Carpenter, it "won't be long" before we'll hear news on the sandbox title, but there is "nothing to share at the moment."

"There are lots of cool things being worked on, we've been paying attention to what the community has been asking for," he told OXM.

Carpenter also said to expect more Minecraft mash-ups since the one featuring Skyrim was such an "easy process."

"We've been discussing quite a few ideas for future mash-ups," he said. "The aim is that they're special creations - we're not going to do loads of them. The hope is that they provide players with something visually unique for them to enjoy their slice of Minecraft with."

4J has said previously it is working on ways to move Minecraft Xbox 360 saves to Xbox One, and earlier this month, it was preparing the game for testing on PS3.

The game is also slated to land on PS4.
