Super Stardust team Housemarque is bringing its new shooter Resogun to PS4.

The co-op shooter contains ships, guns, bullets, space and so on in full HD, 60FPS.

Developed exclusively for PlayStation 4, Resogun will be available as a digital download on PlayStation Network and allows players to unleash devastating attacks using lasers, missiles, overdrive and nova-bombs.

The goal is to blast hordes of enemies and rescue the last survivors from distant galactic colonies that are under ruthless attack from an evil alien invasion force.

Arcade and Endless play modes are included as well as global leaderboards for each game mode and difficulty setting.

Resogun is a launch title for PS4.

Not too sure how it looked – other than colorful. The initial footage suggested a sort of wrap-around playfield – which reminds me of classic Defender.

I’ve had a lot of fun with Super Stardust, Dead Nation and Outland so a new Housemarque game is as significant to me as a new game from Retro Studios or Platinum Games.

Did I read somewhere this is going to be a PS+ IGC title too?

Edit: Yes it is apparently. So day one PS+ sub nets you DC (PS+ edition) and Resogun with other indie titles to follow in the months afterwards.
