New Battlefield 4 gameplay video showcases PC Ultra graphics

Monday, 12th August 2013 18:05 GMT By Debabrata Nath

EA’s released a brand new gameplay video for Battlefield 4, showcasing how DICE’s forthcoming shooter looks like when being played on the highest graphics settings on a PC.

GamesHQMedia received a few gameplay clips stemming from Battlefield 4′s latest build, with the footage depicted below being recorded from publisher EA’s Los Angeles studio. It claims to be being played on ultra graphics on the PC build of the shooter.

The video consists of three short clips showing off different aspects of multiplayer that players will be able to experience in the game. There’s melee, there’s levolution in full display and there’s also plenty of gunplay to please the trigger-happy among us. The video looks rather slick but since Youtube can only run videos at 30 FPS, some of its visual prowess is lost.

Battlefield 4 releases on October 29 in U.S and November 1 in Europe for PS3, Xbox 360, PC. PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are also in development. You can watch the video below.

Thanks, AGB.

I just watched this 3 times…not really thinking it was high had to be due to the framerate being 30fps

Pity it looks as bland as shite.

I’d rather they show Mirrors Edge to show off the new engine.

Agreed with #2 – they need to show off Mirror’s Edge 2 with the Frostbite 3 engine.

Wasnt really smart for them to use this very bland map.

A few missions on BF3 really reminded me of Mirror Edge’s colorful and bright environment. Wonder how Frosrbite 3 would render them seeing the first game was built with Unreal3.

This is not an official video from DICE/EA. It’s another montage made by players playing in the Alpha version of the game. Once again, it looks bland because many textures are missing, game is not finished, etc.

VG247, you guys have published 2 videos now claiming they were from EA, while they are clearly not. Just go on the official Battlefield Youtube channel. If it’s not there, it’s not official…

I trust you guys with news, but make sure you verify your sources, because they are clearly misleading.

@mad is right. Not official. And who is Debabrata?

Let it be on the consoles and that’ll be good enough for sure. If it’s on PC then Ertha will cry a bit at first, but then he’ll either love or hate the game for the gameplay, like everyone else.

What the hell is that supposed to be?! Off-screen footage?! I’ve never seen a video of a game were frames were blended together this badly.

Of course this is from the Alpha, there was no HUD, no kill score when killing enemies, no voices yelling like in BF3… People who watch this and think its like the final game are just deluded. Plus VG247 you think this video is worthy of even being a news story? Maybe its just for your hit counter so console player who know nothing about graphics can come here and troll, bitch and moan about how these graphics look worse than the Xbone and PS4 and so the few idiots we have in the PC space can come here also and feed the hungry trolls.
