Natural Selection 2 adding female soldiers

Saturday, 6th July 2013 00:07 GMT By Phil Owen

Yes, there are people in the world who are against having women fight on the front lines, but Natural Selection 2 devs Unknown Worlds are not among them. In fact, they’re adding female soldier models to their online shooter as free DLC that will be available in late August or early September.

And they’re doing it right by eschewing boob-shaped chest plates for, you know, real armor. Here’s what our female fighter will look like.

Whoa, she looks like a soldier! How about that. In addition to that armor, Special Edition purchasers will be able to play a Black Armor version, and Deluxe Edition owners will get a Deluxe armor version. I’m told she will kick ass in any of those sets. More on this here.

I’d love to try it out, but this game just runs so badly. These are older games i know, i ran WoW on max settings; Dota2 on max, CS:Go max, the Mass Effect series on high and ran Farcry 3 on medium. This game i can’t run on low with every bell and whistle turned off if there is more then 2 aliens on the screen,it gets worse with every patch too.

@2 So much fail within the staff that don’t search to see if something has already been posted about XD

Give them a break. Countless news is posted every day by half a dozen people. It’s bound to happen.

I can understand that it’s easy to miss some headlines, I do it all the time, but generally I think the staff should at least be glancing at the headlines posted by the other staff members before they start their shift of adding news. And if it’s something like this, try the tags to see if someone else already caught it.

@1 i5 750 & HD5870 here and I can run NS 2 easily with settings on High and Infestation on low. That fucker takes a lot CPU and GPU power on higher settings.
