Watch Dogs multiplayer: hacking, griefing, unique events

"What we wanted to do was create something unique anecdotes, things that were not created by a designer," Guay told VG247. "We want it to diverge, so we decided to let the player play the game how they want to play it.

"The biggest 'wow' moment in Watch Dogs, single-player or multiplayer, should be one you created yourself - not something a designer at the office created. With multiplayer, we don;t control what other players do. You will be playing, and another players just comes along and something unique is created.

"Obviously we balanced it out so it doesn't spoil what you are trying to do. We are being very careful with that. But in an opne-world, there are many times where you are just going from Point A to Point B - a lot cam happen when you are doing that."

Watch Dogs hits PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on November 19 in the States, and November 22 across Europe. It will also be made available on PS4 and Xbox One.
