Minecraft Xbox 360 disc release dated for Europe

Wednesday, 1st May 2013 09:51 GMT By Dave Cook

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is heading to European retailers next month. Microsoft has just confirmed the game’s physical disc release.

In a statement sent to VG247 this morning, Microsoft confirmed that the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will launch on June 28.

The pack will also come with a free 48-hour Xbox Live trial, which is just perfect for some online co-op.

The question is, with over six million people playing the XBLA download of Minecraft already, is there any call for a physical release? Perhaps there is. Let us know what you think below.

Sure there’s a point. The release serves gamers with unconnected 360s. That makes the inclusion of an XBLA trial subscription rather pointless.
