World of Warcraft’s Cinder Kitten raises $2.3 million for Hurricane Sandy relief
World of Warcraft’s Cinder Kitten vanity pet has raised over $2.3 million to support the American Red Cross. Proceeds from the $10 pet accumulated through December 31 benefit those displaced by Hurricane Sandy. To learn more about the pet, and Blizzard’s donation, hit up Battle.net.

That is pretty awesome. It’s just a shame that they don’t do things like this more often; if they did, I’m sure it’d help to set aside some of the bad blood of their prior shenanigans.
It’s a PR stunt, sure, but it’s still a lot of money for a charity. And that’s a fantastic thing. I really do wish they’d do this more, they’re certainly in a position to.
