Assassin’s Creed III mission director Philippe Bergeron has confirmed that there will be no tower defense in AC III during a video interview with Joystiq. He also discussed other features, saying that it’ll feature two distinct types of play: one involving “lot of explosions” which’ll be more sequence based, and the other which’ll be more “free-flowing” in nature, allowing you to decide your own path. Philippe also said the frontier in AC III will allow players to explore freely in an organic environment. You can watch the entire interview below.

So You Be Soft (for alienating legit customers with horrible DRM) has decided to not include the part of the last game that was not needed/necessary/liked by anyone (delete as appropriate).

I wonder what they will think up to pish off the players this time? Link it to Diablo like servers in order to play single player campaign? Micro transactions with real world money to buy updated armour/weapons etal in the game? Charge the player an additional fee for future content that should have been included in the first place?

Oh wait the last options are already being used in other games and idiots are buying into it!! Gaming is dead, long live gaming
