Nice. Huge thanks for Sam Clay and VG for these gameplay videos. I’ve loved them so far, specially the FarCry 3 and DarkSiders 2 ones.

Really starting to look forward to this title. I don’t really care about GTA or Saints Row, but something different like this intrigues me. Hopefully it won’t disappoint like I Am Alive.

i like this new VG24/7364 Videos

but the game is still generic, offers nothing new.

how does the slow motion works? is it everytime he fires the game goes in slow motion or can the player control it?

^ Yes.

It was going to be the third installment of the True Crime series.

@13 In True crime LA, you had to hold one of the shoulder buttons to do slow-mo. I used to do it while driving so you could shoot petrol tank. There used to be like a upgrade system so you got better aiming and stuff, learning new abilities etc. You probably won’t have slow-mo to begin with.

This game looks kool, just one question I got though:
Any option to turn off that annoying in-game commentary?

I wonder why people still assume videogames are for kids. With commentary like that I don’t blame ‘em.

The shooting looks a lot better than anything they’ve shown so far.

Whilst I appreciate the new push for video content, I have to agree with some other users in regards to the commentary.

As a general rule viewers don’t need a narration of what’s happening on screen; we’re watching a video, we can see what’s going on. Chiming in with something additive — such as context for a particular scene, or a mechanical observation not evident from the footage — is all well and good, but the attempts at humour fall completely flat for me and actually take away from the showcase function of the video. It’s hard to be consistently entertaining, so I’d advise letting the footage do the talking rather than try to fill ‘dead air’.

Anyway, the game looks pretty good. It’s clearly somewhat ‘B-tier’, but that sounds more derogatory than intended; I’ve zero problem devoting time and money to something that’s consistently enjoyable if not especially noteworthy.

Just play Kung Fu Fighting in between commentary.

Mission accompolished.

Cars are awfully combustible in Hong Kong…

I’m with Aimless here. It’d be cool if Sam could offer his own critical thoughts on the game here and there… you know, your “The gunplay feels solid…” and “The cutscenes were still a little rough round the edges” kind of thing.

I liked the commentary, reminded me of PSW magazines dvd’s.

@23 The problem with that is they’re not actually playing the game… but dubbing stock footage released by the publisher or, in this case, an old trailer.

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

Shooting and fighting looks good, I’m slightly interested.
