Homefront: Ultimate Edition to launch on March 23 in EU

THQ’s announced the Ultimate Edition of Homefront, which’ll launch in Europe on March 23 for PS3, 360 and PC. According to EG, the package will come with map packs The Rock and Fire Sale and the weapon 870 Express Shotgun, which was previously available as pre-order DLC only. It’ll launch at the pricepoints of £19.99/€24.99.

A Homefront sequel is currently in the works at Crytek for an FY2014 launch.

Seriously? Even the ultimate / GOTY edition for Two Worlds 2 makes more sense than this.

Isn’t this announcement more reflective of THQ’s financial state than anything else? For instance, if they’re sitting on stock and not selling as much, they might as well repackage it and take another punt at the hold-outs from the first time round.
