Microsoft takes action against Halo 4 beta scam

A scam site luring users with false promises of Halo 4 beta access is the latest target of Microsoft's legal wrath.

Fusible reports Microsoft has filed a complaint against the site with the National Arbitration Forum.

The veracity - or rather, lack of it - of Halo4beta.net hit headlines last week after a warning from 343 Industries sent us scurrying to Google "Halo 4 beta".

Apparently uncomfortable with the scrutiny, the site's owners took it down, but Microsoft is now pushing to transfer ownership of the domain.

Halo 4 is expected exclusively for Xbox 360 by the end of the year.
