EA president mentions Battlefield 4 during college keynote

During a keynote at the University of Southern California, EA president Frank Gibeau pretty much confirmed Battlefield 4 – although EA has hastened to asure gamers nothing has been announced.

“There is going to be a Battlefield 4,” Gibeau said

EA has issued a statement expanding on Gibeau’s comments, and putting down talk of an “announce” of Battlefield 4:

“Frank was speaking broadly about the Battlefield brand – a brand that EA is deeply passionate about and a fan community that EA is committed to,” the publisher told GamePron.

Battlefield 3 released last month to rave reviews.

i just hope dice and ea will fix all battlefield 3 befor working on battlefield 4..
as we speak i cant even connect server and my friend got the problem i get now since the game launch ALWYS ALWYS EA/DICE FUCK.

Strange since I almost always can connect to any server. The only reason if I can’t is that they became full when I hit the button

I’d rather they bury that series or toss it to the EA equivalent of Treyarch so DICE doesn’t have to be associated with it.

Then all fanboys would say its amazing.
Edit:EA also have equivalent of Treyarch its called Danger Close and they are going to make MoH 2012 in Frostbite which is confirmed.

@6 Is that why BC2 was so popular? Because it said “From the creators of Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2″.

i hope Battlefield 4 development will be next gen, not this one. It’s too soon to do anything because clearly console tech is used to death and all money for packaged games are for consoles right now, so i really don’t want to ruin my experience if they are going to reharsh the engine and the game in the end.

Also, i hope they will return Commo Rose and some stuff from Battlefield 2 that i liked.
Battlefield 3 is a really great game where devs pushed the max of it’s abilities except for singleplayer campaign that was OK at best with great visuals and technology.
