World of Darkness is in playable state, says CCP

wod

CCP’s Torfi Frans Olafsson has confirmed its much secret MMO World of Darkness is in a playable state.

Olafsson, the creative director of EVE Online at the Icelandic developer, added it’s “dark and sexy” as well. Hot.

“That game is in development but I don’t have any comments on the status or the progress – except that I’ve played it,” he told Eurogamer.

Leaked footage from over the weekend at the Grand Masquerate convention showed off what looked like an artist’s impression of the title, set in a vampire-esque city.

EVE Online creator Reynir Harðarson told VG247 back in February 2008 the title will be “as real as it can be.”

World of Darkness is currently in development at White Wolf in Atlanta following its merger with CCP in 2006.

Just imagine it. A hundred people arguing with stop signs and convincing each other that they are dead turtles, in a persistent on-line environment.
