New Line Cinema, those that brought you Lord of the Rings, has optioned Heavy Rain for a film.

The filing, found by super sleuth Superannuation, was filed way back in 2006 and 2007.

Basically, New Line filed a Short Form Option, when means they have the “option” to make the film should one be made, basically.

It has no financial terms, whether it will be made or not, or anything else worth noting listed.

Just an option, should one come up. No reason to get all worked up just yet.

Heavy Rain was released last week. You can play as four different characters. People love it.

If you don’t have it yet, you aren’t cool. Which means we aren’t either. Let’s start a club.
