Presumably these numbers actually mean something to somebody, somewhere. I hope they read this.

I’m probably worth around half of that 45 million. Fucking game.

Al-tho I own PS3 and Xbox, choice was super easy for me.. PC version. especially because it will have bit different codes so it will run very smooth on PC.. unlike MW2..

More defibrillator and tool kills then knife kills?
What type of primary weapons can medics and mechanics use in the game?

There does appear to be a need for more medics!

I think you misread the knife stat, Gekidami.
To answer your question, however, Engineers use SMGs and Medics heavy MGs.

The medic issue is the result of the big problem I have with these type of games. When you have so many players noone works as a team. Small teams force cooperative TEAM play, instead all I find are 20 different people doing their own things. i prefer tearm centric gameplay… Battlefield is not that.

Crap man I’m been a Mechanic this whole time and I didn’t know I could use the drill to kill, Dammit I ran out of ammo a lot and I could have use that, probably better than the knife!

I remember being a medic in BF2 usually gave you most points and you could be on top 10 in no time! People don’t realize that? well better for me

I find your complaint rather bizarre, MushroomStamp. BC2 is all about your 4-man squad: you spawn on them, you speak with them, you earn more points by assisting them, etcetera.
It’s a highly team-focussed game and does a much better job of encouraging teamwork than, say, Modern Warfare 2 — the reverence of Killstreaks in that game encourages people to play in a way that isn’t all that useful during objective game types.

The troubles you get with the game types you suggested Mushie are numiorus.
First off we have the Elite Specilest. That is the single player that is so good almost no one can kill him, sometimes its skill, often times its him laging his own router. In agame of 5v5 he is a standout, he will own and dominate. In a 25v25 match he gets lost in the crowd, gets shot, and ends up as just another body on the ground.
Secondly we have the clan. A small group mostly made up of Elite Specilests that like to ban together and pwn nOObies. You will find them, all 5 of them, camping in your teams spawn spot. They play so much that they know all of each maps hot spots. You will find no weapon drops, amo dumps, or vehicles when playing against the well orginized Clan, because they know where those are and have taken them nearly before they apear. They love playing against random pugs, they favor small maps with small teams. They tend to shy away from large groups of player if for only the simple facts that said groups of random players don’t do their homeworks and research the map and game types before they sit down to play.
Next up we have the singing teenager. One of my personial favs. This crafty, creative and artistly talented gamer likes to impress you with his knowledge of Nu-Metal, Emo, and Rap music. While his skills are not that formidable, he can make up for that with his extensive vocabulary of colorful language. These players always have mics/headsets, and often have them inside their mouths. Doing so gives them the special abilty to confuse enimies with their constant breathing in between renditions of their favorite songs. Of course they prefer small team based games, it is alot easier to sing for small teams as ussualy larger teams drown them out with anoying things like game chater.
I can think of plenty of other reasons why small team based games stink. Battlefield works so well because you do NOT need to work closly as a tight knit bunch of real life friends sitting in the same room. Extensive team work that forces players to work in the manner you suggest is bad. It is the single thing that killed MechAssult2. In the open game world, your going to have new players. Your going to have some 12 yr old. Your going to have the guy that can no scope you across the map while watching TV. Your going to have friends joining together, maybe one can really play, maybe the other is playing for the first time. Your going to encounter a variety of situations that lead itself to frustration if just one or two of your team mates can’t keep up. That is the nature of the beast.
However, in games like M.A.G. and Battlefield, because you have a larger number of team mates you are far less likly to lose a match because someones younger brother is playing because his mom made him share.
Battlefield has so much info on screen, is so focused on objective based game play it lends itself to an actual team concept. Your Team vs theirs. No one player is going to dominate and ruin that experience for others. It works so well, that in most cases I don’t even use a headset when playing Bad Company. I have it on, but almost never have to use it.
Enjoy what you like. Who am I to say different. But what I like is a huge war game that i can get lost inside of. I feel part of the battle. I feel like I am a member of team. I love that feeling. And yep, I love Battlefield games. Can not wait for Bad Company 2!!

ummmm.. Battlefield has up to 64 players.. that’s not 4 v 4. I stand by my opinion that games with that many players stink. It’s more chaos and vehicle kamikazee than any tactics because they are un-coordinated. Only clans are successful at these gamees. Too many players ruins the experience for me.
*for the record I like Bad Company for the single player.. multi player just doesn’t create team play.

Thats cool Mushie. I was just trying to be funny. Its ok tho, looks aren’t everything! Anyways, If you think Battlefield is rough. MAG was pure Chaos, until I got used to it. When the respawn timer poped up it looked like a blue wave on my mini map. There were so many players rushnng out of the base camps it felt like watching an old war movie. The first few of em got shor and fell, but there were too many for the enimy team to shot and they would get over run. I loved it to be honest. I can see how it could be off putting tho.

Cannot wait for this game. Looks great from Beta videos and looking forward to finally getting a new online shooter that has good balance, good map design, gameplay that takes skill to win and is fun. MW2 failed at all those and BFBC1 got all of them right. I hope the weapons are a little tweaked so they deal a tad more damage and have a bit more recoil than the original. That would be the sweet spot.

I really enjoyed the beta, some nice tweaks and improvements from BF:BC. Hopefully it’ll port well to the PC and EA/DICE will support and balance after release.

I’d like to see a lot more variety in the modes available. Gold Rush + Conquest shoe horned in didn’t really cut it in BFBC – though I did really like Gold Rush. They are needed to keep people interested. There is no reason you couldn’t have more simple TDM, or other more adventurous modes considering the extremely flexible set-up you have.
