According to a Macworld report, 2K Boston’s excellently eerie Bioshock is to be ported to the Mac.
The rumour goes only so far as the shirts that the reps at Feral Interactive’s Macworld Expo were all wearing shirts with Bioshock’s Big Daddy on the back.
We’re labelling this as likely, as Bioshock has already appeared on PC, 360 and PlyStation3, it would be the next logical move.
Thanks, Destructoid.

Doesn’t everybody have their Macs dual-booting Windows now anyway?

It’s not a rumour – it *is* coming, it’s just Feral don’t update their website all too frequently.

Blerk: sure, but it’s a pain to reboot. Native is much preferred.

Just wondering, how well on average do mac games sell? It’s not really the selling point I know, but with a much less saturated market with retail games being ones that have sold well before on PC/Consoles I figure that most people might have one or two games for it.

@ Hunam: an average selling Mac game sells 20 – 30,000 copies. A top quality Mac game can hope to sell about 50,000. A simply stellar one – say, The Sims or something else that takes unique advantage of the mouse & keyboard – can expect to sell 100,000.
Only Blizzard games break the 100,000 sales barrier on the Mac.

If you can believe it, Black & White 2 has only just been released on Mac. I’m a Mac owner and would happily buy more games for the system, but they can’t possibly release these games years later, ask full price and then be amazed when they fail to sell.
Day and date with PC releases or don’t bother.

Or ask the same price years after the release.
