How to Unlock the Lightsaber Throw and Get the "Triple Take" Achievement in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

We show you how to sling sabers like a true Jedi.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order has numerous Force abilities that harken back to the classic powers of the Jedi, but perhaps the most obvious is the ability to sling your lightsaber at an enemy and recall it back to your hand, referred to simply as the Lightsaber Throw. We'll show you how to unlock this attack, and how you can use it to get a special achievement in the game.

The following guide contains minor spoilers for the plot of Fallen Order.

How to Get the Lightsaber Throw

The Lightsaber Throw is an optional ability unlocked in the meditation skill tree, after you unlock the Force Pull as part of the story on your second visit to Zeffo and the sarcophagus in the Tomb of Miktrull. After you have that ability, return to the nearest meditation circle/checkpoint, where you can see that the power can now be bought with skill points as part of the "Lightsaber" branch.

How to Buy the Lightsaber Throw

The Lightsaber Throw specifically costs three skill points, though you'll have to buy other skills to reach it on the skill tree: the Overhead Slash, the Dash Strike, and the Sprint Strike, which each cost one point. It also unlocks a two point upgrade named "Power Throw" that allows you to throw it further than before.

How to Throw Your Lightsaber

Once you have the right ability, you can throw your lightsaber by holding the block button and pressing heavy attack (either LB+Y or L1+Triangle, depending on your controller). Lock onto an enemy to send it towards them, though keep in mind that it uses up your Force meter to perform this move.

How to Get the Triple Take Achievement/Trophy

The objective of this is to kill three enemies with a single lightsaber throw. There's no perfect place to do this as we've found, but obviously there are some enemies and areas better suited to it than others. We found two viable choices: either the stormtroopers on Bogano/Zeffo, who have very little health and tend to hang about in clusters, or the undead nightsisters on Dathomir, who tend to physically crowd the player and amass in groups. You might want to lower their health first, but by backing away from them and letting them follow you as a mob, you shouldn't have too much trouble with this particular achievement, especially if you use the force to slow them down.
