EG Expo: Naughty Dog shows UC3 - Read what happened

During our final session of the day at Eurogamer Expo, Naughty Dog hosted a developer session on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

Richard Lemarchand from the studio and Nathan Drake himself, Nolan North, were hosting the session which started off with a showing of the fabulous trailer from E3.

Lemarchand mentioned that as of today, Uncharted 3 has been in the works for two years since shipping Uncharted 2. He then slipped into chatting about the motion capture specifications, and reiterated it was Naughty Dog's first experience with the tech.

Uncharted 3's story was touched upon, where Drake and company are on the quest for Oobar, the Atlantis of the sands. All the demos shown for the game so far were gone over, specifically the Cruise Ship demo from E3, which Nolan North provided some amusing mo-cap backstories for.

A behind the scenes look at the cut-scenes in the game was shown, and a new scene called "Finding the Well" was shown. In it, Drake, Elena and Sully stumble upon the entrance, which if you, recall, was shown at the end of the E3 demo. Sully and Elena apparently drink a shot in celebration, but Drake misses out due to there not being enough.

North started talking about the collaboration process between himself, Emily Rose (Elena) and Richard McGonigle (Sully) before a behind the scenes video of the cutscene was shown.

Uncharted 3 is out on November 1.
