A look at the mechanics of Valve’s canceled Portal prequel, Aperture Camera, has been released by developer LunchHouse Software.
Also known as F-Stop, Aperture Camera was a first-person puzzle game that used a camera to move objects around the laboratory, copy items, and rescale them (thanks, RPS).
LunchHouse Software is also working on its own project, Exposure, using Valve’s Source Engine and was given permission by the company to use the game’s original source code.
The first look at the mechanics is shown via the video below, and LunchHouse promises to share more footage in the future.
Valve’s prequel to Portal was first revealed as being in development, and canned, by Geoff Keighley who detailed it in his digital book, Portal 2 – The Final Hours.
