Update:

Blizzard has said in a Tweet that the authentication issues reported earlier have been resolved. Users on several of the affected games' sub-Reddits have also reported being able to log in normally.

The original story can be seen below.

Original story: Over the past hour, several of Blizzard's servers for Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft have been hit with a problem that's preventing players from being able to log in.

The authentication servers are the ones causing the issue, according to Blizzard. All three regions reported the outage, and Blizzard acknowledged the issue in a Tweet after the many reports.

It's not clear if this is a result of an attack or other malicious activities, but it appears it'll be a while before things get back to normal. The company said it continues to investigate and is working on a solution.

With that in mind, Blizzard promised another update in an hour, 45 minutes of which have already passed at the time of writing.

We'll keep you updated when we hear more.
