Over 57,000 sign StarCraft II LAN petition

More than 57,000 people have now signed a petition to get LAN functionality put into StarCraft II, as notice by IGN.
The effort went live immediately after Blizzard confirmed the feature wouldn't make the game.
StarCraft II will only be playable competitively through the next version of Battle.Net.
The game has no release date as yet.
