The official Austrian Xbox blog done a poo poo. The site apparently posted shots and info from the upcoming Halo 3 Mythic map pack last night, content that appears to have magically disappeared.

1UP stole it all, fortunately. Bungie’s since posted them on its site.

There’s a shot each for one of the three maps involved, namely Sanbox, Assembly and Orbital.

No date on release.

According to this X3F story, Bungie’s shown off its next round of Halo 3 Achievements, including a load that weren’t expected by the game’s many followers.

Halo 3 will carry a potential Gamerscore of 1,750 after the next release, which may well include the “Mythic” maps first spotted at PAX. The levels appear to be mentioned in the Achievements, as you can see through the link.

There’s also an IGN interview about it here. As Bungie’s Brian Jarrard pointed out, “With 10 new achievements and 250 gamer points up for grabs, why not go back and play what is still an awesome game anyways?”

No date for the updates as yet.

PAX has been pretty news-free so far, truth be told, but AddictGaming did snap something called Halo 3 Mythic on the Microsoft stand.

Here’s the only info known so far:

• There’s a Dev System underneath, which could mean a fair few things.
• The options in the menu are Multiplayer only, no Campaign options.
• The version of the game is 1.2 (Retail Halo 3 is currently 1.1)
