Last DLC pack for Guitar Hero franchise hits this month, Harmonix responds as staff cuts hit Vicarious Visions
It has been confirmed by an Activision spokesperson and the official Guitar Hero Twitter account, that the February Mega Pack will be the last DLC pack issued for the music game series.

Confirmed – Activision chops Guitar Hero and True Crime, no music or Hawk games in ’11
Activision’s just announced it has canned development on True Crime: Hong Kong as well as “disband” the Guitar Hero business unit.

February Mega Pack released for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
Activision has announced the addition Marilyn Manson, Children of Bodom, and Black Label Society tracks for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock in the form of a February Mega Pack.

Activision celebrates Megadeth and Soundgarden Grammy nods with free Black Rain MP3
As two of the tracks included in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock have been nominated for Grammy Awards, it’s been decided to celebrate by offering Soundgarden’s Black Rain as a free MP3 download this weekend.

Cowen slashes Q4 DJ Hero forecast by 60%
Analyst Doug Creutz from Cowen Group has good and bad news for Activision Blizzard.
The good news: Creutz thinks investors don’t need to worry about the music genre anymore.
