GAME brokers new deal with lenders to continue retail operations

GAME launches ‘Fun for a Fiver’ campaign
GAME’s begun a new promotion called the Fun for a Fiver offer. Concept is simple: buy a new upcoming game like Final Fantasy XIII-2, The Darkness II, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games on 3DS, Soul Calibur V or Tekken 3DS, trade it in within two weeks and you’ll only have spent a fiver in total for the game you just picked up.

Claims of GAME website hacked are “entirely false”
UK retailer GAME has denied previous reports that its website was hacked today, following more than 200 email address and passwords being posted on Pastebin.

GAME holiday sales hit 15 percent low

UK shops say Metallic Red edition of 3DS is selling out
UK shops are reporting 3DS sales are surging, and High Street sources have told MCV the Metallic Red edition is selling out fast. Other colors are in short supply as well, and the popularity of the handhled this holiday season is being attributed to Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. “We have high expectations for the final few weeks before Christmas,” said GAME Group’s category manager for Nintendo Iain Johnson. Australia PSA: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 on sale now
Specialist chain retailer GAME has announced the Australian street date has been broken for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
The updated fighter was not expected to go on sale until tomorrow. Rival outlet EB Games is yet to follow suit, but if the usual pattern holds, you can expect all major retailers to offer it within the hour.
UMvC is available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a Vita version expected at launch.

GAME, GameStation to hold midnight launches for Battlefield 3
GAME and GameStation have published the full list of stores taking part for midnight launches in the UK for Battlefield 3 this Thursday/Friday. You can probably find the same usual spots on the list on there, so you should be covered either way. Some stores will open up early to consumers take part in any trade-in offers. GAME’s website has recommended, however, to “check with your local branch before going out on the night as they will have the latest information.”

GAME, GameStation MW3 pre-orders to get double XP at launch
GAME Group’s announced this morning that those who pre-order Modern Warfare 3 from either GAME or GameStation will get double XP in their first four hours of multiplayer game time. The bonus is the final one to be announced as part of the Classified Intel Pack that will come with pre-orders for the shooter. The pack will also come with a mini-guide and either a platform specific reward: avatar gear on 360 or a theme for PS3.

GameStation website reboots with £99 360 offer
GameStation has gone live with a new look on it website, and is celebrating by selling Xbox 360s for £99. Whilst clicking on it shows a £178 pricetag – it’s £159 second-hand – it mentions that prices will “change randomly during the day.” GAME has also given its site a new bit of paint, but, unlike GameStation, has no massive deals of the sort. Go buy Deus Ex instead.
