Activision confirms, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Nuketown is a GAME exclusive

If you're buying a physical copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in the UK, you won't be getting the Nuketown bonus map. Unless you're buying from GAME.

Black Ops 3 Nuketown

The Nuketown bonus map is a GAME exclusive in the UK, Activision has confirmed. Despite the company's support previously stating otherwise - not to mention an FAQ on Activision's site.

This discrepancy was first noticed by UKvgDeals. The site pointed towards a a Facebook trailer for the map that says in very small print that Nuketown is indeed a GAME exclusive in the UK through spring 2016.

Browsing other UK retailers such as ShopTo, Tesco Direct, and even Amazon, shows no trace of Nuketown.

GAME on the other hand, clearly labels it as having Nuketown, as well as well show a different game cover with the Nuketown logo on it.

The publisher has today provided Eurogamer with the following statement. "GAME UK Exclusive for 'NUK3TOWN' content applies to physical or 'boxed' copies of Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Standard Edition on PS4, XB1 and PC only," it reads.

"Limited time only, while stocks last. 'NUK3TOWN' content is also available by ordering (or pre-ordering) the PS4 console bundle, the hardened and Juggernog Editions or through any digital orders/pre-orders. Actual platform availability and launch date(s) to be determined. Internet connection required."

As the site notes, outside of GAME's £50 price tag, you're left with the digital option of either Xbox Store or PSN, and both will run you £55. Or you could just wait until the map eventually becomes available for purchase separately.

Black Ops 3 is out this Friday, November 6.
