bravely default 012613

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has shipped 300,000 copies in Japan since its October release, according to producer Tomoya Asano. Speaking with 4Gamer in an interview, Asano revealed the figures, stating that by the end of the month, he believes sales of the game will equal the numbers shipped. He also said that “from this year to about next year, I’m thinking there are a lot of things that I want to prepare for everyone to look forward to,” so to keep an eye on the game’s Twitter account. Does this mean the game may be heading west, or is there a sequel in the works? Just do what the man says and stay glued to that Twitter account. Thanks, Gematsu.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy – latest screenshots are rather adorable

bravel default tgs 2012

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has some lovely screenshots floating around the Internet, and while we weren’t handed the shots by Square ourselves, D’toid has all 12 posted. The title is only being shown through a video at Square’s booth at TGS this year, and so far, it’s still a Japan-only 3DS title for the time being. We can still hold out hope. We’ve heard nothing on the matter though, so hope is all we have for now. Go make yourself happy through the link.

Bravely Default has only one save file due to wireless feature

bravely defaultff

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy producer Tomoya Asano has said the 3DS game will only contain one save file, due to a wireless feature which makes system saves unnecessary. Asano also detailed the game a bit more through various tweets Andriasang has translated. These details are: random encounters; a fourth unidentified male character who is a favorite of scenario writer Naotaka Hayashi; the Bravely Default part of the title will be revealed after clearing the game; graphics are based off the character’s job with special accessories and equipment shown; and finally, most of the game events have voices, while the main characters talk the most. Bravely Default releases in Japan on October 11.

bravely defaultff

Screenshots for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy’s turn-based battle system have been posted over on Siliconera. In them, you’ll see Tiz and Agnes battling it out, along with “grayed out commands” which likely denote special moves the developer wishes to keep a secret for the time being. There’s also a bit of artwork through the link as well. Bravely Default, which according to the game’s writer, literally means “bravely taking the step towards turning your back on your promises and responsibilities,” is out this year on 3DS.
