Bravely Default: For the Sequel getting an "overseas edition"

Square Enix seems to have quietly announced a western release for Bravely Default: For the Sequel, an enhanced re-release of 3DS RPG Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, which was not localised.

The news comes via Twitter rather than press release so we have no concrete details to share at present.

"The overseas edition is based on 'for the sequel'," was Square Enix's only comment.

It's possible the overseas edition comment refers to a new release for Asian markets beyond Japan, but it seems more likely to refer to an international launch given we've been expecting the game to come west since announce, and more specifically since April this year when the publisher began teasing and rumours began to heat up. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy released in Japan in October 2012 and is yet to make it to Europe or North America. The For the Sequel remake, so-named because its sales will determine the franchises future, arrives in Japan in early December.
