The localised version of Monster Hunter Stories has a release date in Europe.

Monster Hunter Stories, the Pokemon-esque Monster Hunter off-shoot, was confirmed for the West earlier this year. Released in Japan last year, Stories has kind of had a mixed reception from the Monster Hunter community because of how much it differs from the main game.

Now, Nintendo Europe has announced that the game is coming to Europe on September 8. No similar announcement was made for the US, but you shouldn't expect it to be that far behind.

In other Monster Hunter news, Capcom announced Monster Hunter World at E3 last week. The game is being developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, due for release next year. Though it doesn't carry the number "5", World appears to be taking strides towards making the game more accessible.

We'll keep you updated if and when we hear a US release date for Monster Hunter Stories.
