Persona 5 shows off its stylish combat

Four new videos released over the weekend have showcased Persona 5's 'all-out' attacks.

These videos show off the animations that play out when you unleash the all-out attack, a familiar Persona mechanic, with four of the game's new characters. The action switches to a bold red and place silhouette as your team rushes in and out, clobbering their opponents.

These videos show off Persona 5's sense of style - the user interface is gorgeous and the characters look like they're full of personality, which is a good thing since, if Persona 5 is as long as 3 and 4 were, you'll be spending a very long time with them.

We've also seen the opening anime sequence. It all looks...very Persona. Fans of the series have been waiting a long time for a new game in the series - Persona 4 first released in 2008.

Persona 5 launches in Japan for PS4 and PS3 on September 15, but those of us waiting for an English release will have to wait a little longer. It's due for North America on February 14, while a date for Europe and Australia hasn't been pinned down yet.
