Tekken 7 cast reveals fresh from EVO 2016.
Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada made an appearance at EVO 2016 to reveal two new characters foir the home release version: Bob and Master Raven. Check out the two new combatants in trailers above and below, as well as some screenshots at the foot of the page.
“Introduced in TEKKEN 6, Bob (full name: Robert Richards) is an American fighter that practices Freestyle Karate as his chosen fighting style,” Bandai Namco said in a press release. “Possessing great strength, uncanny speed, and a wide range of attacks, Bob is one of the most well rounded fighters in the Tekken series.
“The original Raven made his debut in TEKKEN 5 with origins that are still murky today. Now Master Raven enters the fight in Tekken 7, executing her ninjutsu fighting skills with exceptional power and precision. Master Raven has no problem tearing her opponents apart in The King of Iron Fist Tournament.”
Those are very informative paragraphs and I’m grateful for them since my Tekken lore is a bit rusty. I don’t think they really capture the excitement of the Tekken community, though, so here’s what Bandai Namco Europe wrote in the YouTube descriptions on the new trailers:
“Bob joins the roster of fighters in Tekken 7 but who could the other one be? Codename: Master Raven? Stay tuned for future updates!”
Oh, we will. Tekken 7 releases in early 2017 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Now that we’re done talking about Tekken 7: uh hello what, there’s a new voice saying “PEGI 16” on these trailers? I experience a small amount of discomfiture.
