Overwatch becomes most popular game at Korean internet cafes, beating League of Legends

Overwatch has overtaken League of Legends as the most popular PC game at Korean internet cafes.

It's no secret that Overwatch has been very popular across the world, as well as the different platform it's available on.

For a multiplayer-only new IP, Blizzard's first shooter has earned big bucks in digital revenue, not to mention selling incredibility well. It now appears that Korean players are playing it so much that it's making League of Legends less popular, at least where internet cafes are concerned.

A new report from Gametrics reveals that at over 4,000 of internet cafes in Korea, Overwatch is the most popular game with players - more than 30 percent. League of Legends, meanwhile, has dropped to 27.9 percent.

League of Legends has been at the top since August 2012, as only Overwatch could dethrone it. That said, Blizzard games have always been popular in Korea, as StarCraft has shown us.
