Overwatch releasing a day early in the US, but servers go live on schedule

Overwatch officially releases May 24 worldwide. The Blizzard shooter will be dispatched one day early in the US, though, according to listings by multiple retailers in the country.

Amazon is the only place that shows a notice reflecting this change. Best Buy and Gamestop don't, but they have the game listed as a Monday, May 23 release nonetheless.

This is true for all platforms, including the collector's edition. A few NeoGAF users have also reported the change in delivery times for their pre-orders.

This does not appear to be the case for the the UK, unfortunately, though things could change soon.

Servers will still go live on Tuesday, May 24, so getting the disc early will get your all ready for launch, downloading patches and the like.
