If you have yet to fire Halo 5: Guardians up this weekend, you may want to do so before tomorrow.

Now through the Valentine’s Day weekend, players can participate in the Double Date playlist. It all started yesterday. Apologies for just now noticing.

The playlist this weekend is 2v2 Social Slayer on Breakout maps decked out with custom-themes and colors. The geometry and weapon placement has been modified and the Halo 2 Battle Rifle will be available on the map - so use it to score 30 Kills and win.

Going forward, 343 Industries said rather than featuring weekly, weekend playlists an additional permanent social playlist will be offered instead.

Starting with Social CTF next week, the playlist will offer an "additional experience throughout the week" and will provide a "test bed" for new playlists. Don't worry: the weekend playlists won't vanish, so expect limited-time special playlists "here and there."

Elsewhere in the update on Halo Waypoint, 343 revealed a bit more on what's coming with the Hammer Storm later this month. The team touches a bit more on the new modes Assault and Grifball, Fiesta Slayer and the ability to create game types like Oddball and Ricochet.

The Hammer Storm update will also include game improvements across Forge and the UI, fixes for player warping and game de-sync will be applied, and you can expect an expanded armor and Emblems color pallet.

So in February, be prepared for new weapons, new modes, a new map, new colors, new REQs, new game updates and other stuff which has the word new in front of it.

All sorts of information on the Hammer Storm update can be found over Halo Waypoint. While you're over there, check out images of Halo's Warthog and Gears of War's Aramdillo which will be exclusive to the Xbox One version of Rocket League.
