Fallout 4 patch 1.03 improves draw distance, but frame-rate remains untouched

On one hand, Bethesda has extracted a few more resources from consoles. On the other, frame-rate is still sub-30.

Bethesda released patch 1.03 for Fallout 4 very recently. So far, we managed to confirm that Vault 81 residents can indeed now dismember.

Digital Foundry has done some testing of its own, and saw good improvements to draw distance for geometry and foliage.

The act of objects fading in and out of view is now being handled in a better way on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Frame-rate, however, remains the same on both consoles, and it really shows in the video below.
