The Division beta probably happening this month

Ubisoft may have unintentionally let slip the date for The Division beta.

The Division beta, which was never given a date by Ubisoft, is due to start in January. That's according to the UPlay mobile app, which accidentally revealed it.

If you're unfamiliar with UPlay, it runs in the background and rewards you for actions done in Ubisoft games, such as getting headshots, looting etc.. One action for The Division called "Team Beta: Active" rewards you for taking part in the closed beta, and mentions January as the date.

This isn't the first time The Division has been available to the public. In December, Ubisoft held a closed alpha test which ran for a few days. No reports came out of it, unfortunately, because it was NDA'd. The upcoming beta likely won't have the same restriction.

You can guarantee a spot by pre-ordering the game or buying the latest Humble Bundle, available for the next ten hours as of the time of this writing.
