Incredible-looking indie Firewatch launching in February

Firewatch has a release date, and all is right with the world.

Firewatch will launch on Linux, Mac, PC and PS4 on February 2016, developer Campo Santo has revealed.

The adventure will have been in the works for almost two years at that point, and is currently in the final stages of development - "tweaking, tuning, bug fixing and polishing", according to an email from the team.

In case you've somehow missed it, Firewatch is the first game from an indie team formed by Mark of the Ninja lead designer Nels Anderson, The Walking Dead developers Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin and freelance graphic designer and former Studio Ghibli artist Olly Moss.

It tells the story of mysterious events in the wilderness of Wyoming during fire season. The story is conveyed both through the players' exploration and constant radio dialogue between the protagonist and a colleague, and apparently contains a number of mysteries.

Interest in the project grew considerably after the terrific PAX 2014 trailer, and took off even more after it was signed to PS4; Sony even featured it during E3 2015.
