Star Wars Battlefront beta arrives in early October with Drop Zone mode

The beta for Star Wars Battlefront will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early October.

It's a technical test featuring the Walker Assault on Hoth, and a 40-player multiplayer battle featuring Rebels and the Empire.

Walker Assault will also give you the chance to play Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.

The beta will also feature the Survival Mission on Tatooine, where you and a Rebel friend must fight back waves of Imperial forces.

In addition to those two modes, the Drop Zone mode will also be made available, and DICE said more information on it will be made available closer to the beta.

Also available during the beta is the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience which features the strategic card game Base Command. This gives the user the ability to earn in-game Credits that unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront - "Rebels and Imperials alike" can check game stats and progression as well.

More information is available on the PS Blog as well as through EA.

Star Wars: Battlefront comes out on November 17 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
