The PlayStation Plus Edition of DriveClub launches tomorrow

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Plus Edition of Evolution Studios' DriveClub will finally launch tomorrow.

The game will be made available for all PlayStation Plus members starting on Thursday, June 25.

"We’ve spent a long time preparing for this launch after some difficult and unexpected set-backs," said Sony Worldwide boss Shuhei Yoshida. "To make absolutely certain that all players have the smoothest and most stable experience possible we are going to be duly cautious about how we release the game this time around."

All PS Plus members can download Driveclub PS Plus Edition and begin playing the offline mode and online access to this edition will also be rolled out to "steadily bring more and more players online," while ensuring all game systems are running smoothly.

"We are taking extra precautions to protect your experience when you do get online," added Yoshida. "We want to make sure we don’t overload the servers as we invite millions of PS Plus members to download the game tomorrow."

The last few patches applied to the game were partially made to  “prepare the game for the launch of the PS Plus Edition.”

DriveClub was released back in October and it's launch wasn't the smoothest, with the PS Plus Edition seeing a continuous delay and just yesterday, the PS Store update "prematurely listed" Driveclub PS+ Edition as available before being pulled due to the servers being offline.
