Dying Light is sub-1080p on Xbox One, full 1080p on PS4 - report

Early analysis of Dying Light on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has revealed a few technical details about both ports.

Digital Foundry has produced some analysis of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of Dying Light based on some early testing.

Both versions manage a solid 30 frames-per-second, only dipping below that in rare circumstances. Although mostly stable, the Xbox One version appears to drop below that more often than PS4.

Digital Foundry is still working on calculating the actual resolution, but believe the PlayStation 4 version renders at 1920x1080, as opposed to 1536x1080 for Xbox One, a 20% drop in pixel count.

It's not all bad news for the Xbox One, as this version appears to have better anisotropic filtering, making textures appear sharper.

The site will provide a more detailed analysis in the coming days.
