Lords of the Fallen, otherwise known as the Great Hope of RPGs, has produced a new trailer. You should look at it.
If you’ve somehow missed it, Lords of the Fallen comes from Tomasz Gop, producer of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The RPG got a new trailer in celebration of San Diego Comic Con, which you can watch below courtesy of IGN.
I’m really excited about Lords of the Fallen because The Witcher 2 was rad, and Gop seems determined to wield together the perfect RPG from all his favourite parts. I’m a little disappointed by the aesthetic, though – it could be any generic black-and-red fantasy world, you know?
I probably wouldn’t even be thinking about that if Namco Bandai/City Interactive/Deck13 Interactive or whoever hadn’t chosen to recycle an overused trailer trope, though. “Slow cover of song about bad stuff happening over slow motion action” can piss right off, seriously. Over it.
Lords of the Fallen is due on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in October.
