I have had access to beta for quite a while but I did not bother downloading it in rage against Dice decisions.

Been playing in the closed, haven’t really been impressed. The beta itself is obviously buggy as hell, but the game itself isn’t very interesting. The theme feels very generic, and the gameplay is very new age battlefield generic. So far overall my personal taste gives it a 5/10. Maybe I’m just burnt out on shooters.

@4: No. Gaming has evolved. The early BF games have aged terribly in terms of gameplay mechanics. If you want archaic gameplay, you could always play Battlefield Play4Free. It’s essentially BF2, but free.
Alternatively, play BF 2142, BF2, BF:Vietnam, or BF 1942. They still exist, and people still play them.

Honestly, save your time and disk space and skip this. I’m usually pretty lenient when critiquing games because I can almost always find something enjoyable enough to disregard the negatives.

Not here. This game is honestly little more than a BF4 mod. The gun/character/vehicle skins are different. That’s about the only change. In its current state, this game falls far short of being considered a “new” BF game.

You are not burned out but we can easily say FPS nowadays try to reach mass audience with very particular methods that render the whole game …. tasteless; in other words FPS lack of flair. Otherwise yes , graphics are ever mode sumptuous… Well…. whenever the machine where the game is ported is for which again T lowest instance because developers just port stuffs nowadays and that is it.
